MONROE, Washington (SAMUEL HÜBINETTE RACING) – Samuel Hübinette Racing’s Dodge/BFGoodrich team will be among the greenest teams on the grid this weekend at the Formula DRIFT Throwdown event in Monroe, WA, where they will debut a new partnership with Ignite Racing Fuels.
Both of the vehicles on the two-car team have moved to the high-octane, ethanol-based Ignite Racing Fuel, allowing them performance gains while reducing their carbon footprint.
“We were impressed by the performance of the fuel when we tested it,” said Hübinette. “We’re proud to be moving in this direction with the team.”
Ethanol-based fuels are water-soluble, biodegradable, and reduce total greenhouse emissions by up to 46 per cent over traditional racing fuels.
Ignite offers a clean burning racing fuel that provides the cooling effects of traditional alcohol fuels without the top-shelf petroleum racing fuel prices. It is formulated, marketed, and distributed by National Biofuel Distribution.
This is the first season for the new two-car SHR Dodge/BFGoodrich Drift Team, featuring team owner Hübinette behind the wheel of a new Dodge Challenger and drift newcomer Andrew “ACP” Comrie-Picard in the familiar Dodge Viper.
The two-time champion Hübinette’s team has had a successful season so far, qualifying both cars into the Top 32 for the first time at the most recent round of the championship, “The Gauntlet” at Wall Speedway in Wall, NJ, early last month.
This weekend’s race is the first for the team’s improved package: exciting Dodge vehicles, BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW tires and Ignite Racing Fuels.
Both team drivers are expected to compete at X Games 16 this summer, July 31, in Los Angeles.
